We will definitely stay here again when we visit Athens. When you a stay at Hotel Indigo Athens University Area, an IHG Hotel in Athens, you'll be in the historical district, within a 5-minute walk of Athens Welcome Center and Ware-Lyndon House. They also helped us out and gave us a refrigerator in our room since we had some perishable items with us.

We had a very spacious and quiet room and our visit couldn't have been nicer. And they strategically put their bar (with music memorabilia) in the basement, also where the parking is, so that it doesn't bother patrons who need their rest. The hotel even has an art gallery that had a cool exhibit in two locations. It means a lot to get to try different things when traveling, and we enjoyed all the local foods, art, and music. The staff was very helpful and got us extra coffee since we are coffeeaholics.and then when we tried their Jittery Joe's coffee, we were hooked! Thank's so much for provided us with a flavor of Athens during our visit. We stayed two nights at this Hotel Indigo, and it was a brilliant stay, and so much better than the Indigo we had recently visited in Asheville, NC. We were in Athens, Georgia to attend an event at their wonderful Georgia Art Museum. Sweetest touches from our sales reps, Meg & Kate + tons of space for lounging & a private/separated bedroom! I had terrible luck & got an awful stomach virus the night of our rehearsal dinner and actually had to go to the ER directly from our wedding, but the Indigo was great and extended our checkout until the late afternoon since the hubby & I were at the hospital until the early AM. We had a King Suite with a Balcony for my ladies & I to get ready in the morning of the wedding & for our "newlywed" room. Hotel Indigo was BY FAR the easiest hotel to work with (Hilton & Holiday Inn couldn't get the blocks together & turned guest after guest away after signed contracts & lots of double checking to make sure things were in order because they would claim they couldn't "find our names" in the system.) The rooms for our guests were great & they loved having the dining area to meet up in the mornings! A few of our guests were celebrating their anniversary and we brought gifts that Hotel Indigo snuck into their rooms at no charge. My husband and I selected Hotel Indigo as one of our options for our wedding guests as well as where we'd spend the wedding weekend since we live in ATL.
